Ingredients

Scale recipe
—Short crust pastry
—Pastry cream
—Powdered sugar
—Any fruit
—Butter

Directions

Make pastry cream.

Make short crust pastry. You can use quality store bought ones too.

Cut up pastry and glaze with melted brown butter.

Bake 400ºF until golden brown.

Assemble mille-feuille and dust with powdered sugar to finish.

Notes

You can absolutely make your own short crust pastry, but I think it’s more trouble than it’s worth at home. Just make sure to use good ones bought from the store (these are from Wholefoods).
