Cook rice in a donobe. 1:1 washed rice to water. Steam 17 min (2 cup rice) or 20 min (3 cup rice) covered medium low heat, then turn off heat and steam another 30 min.

An obvious riff on Sushi Amamoto’s glorious takeaway bento. Parents asked to take the baby out to restaurant for her 1 month birthday. Risk a young child to potentially dine at a mediocre restaurant. Na… I’ll do this.
