Cook the boiled chicken.

Make the scallion oil. Infuse oil with green onion until browned. Add in sichuan pepper last minute.

Make the sauce with green onion, scallion oil, and chicken broth from step 2. Season with more salt if needed. Alternatively, you can add soy and oyster sauce, but I like it straight up.

To me this is like a hybrid of soya and hainan chicken. Simple & straightforward.
